Business Security

Security that fits how you actually work.

Your laptop won't print. The VPN is a sticky note. Your company domain is registered to the personal Gmail of a contractor who left in 2022. The MSP you used to use answers on a four-day cycle, when they answer at all.

You have been meaning to sort it out. Something always lands first.

This is the lane that does.

What we actually do

  • Break-fix: real, on-call, scoped to the day. Not a contract you have to sign before we will pick up.
  • Security assessments: where you actually stand, in plain language, with a remediation plan you can read.
  • Hardening: laptops, accounts, mail, backups, network, vendors. The boring work that keeps the lights on.
  • Vendor and contract review: cloud, software-as-a-service, IT contracts you signed under duress.
  • Standing oversight when you outgrow break-fix and aren't ready for an in-house security person.

Who this is for

Small and mid-sized businesses in Ventura County and the surrounding region. Owner-operators, ops leads, and office managers who want a phone number that picks up and a person who tells them straight what is wrong. Professional services firms (legal, accounting, design, real estate) where the data sensitivity is high and the IT footprint is small.

Who this is not for

Companies that already have an internal IT department and just want a vendor on a price war. We are not the cheapest line item. We are the call you make when the cheapest line item just lost the company a week.

How we work

  1. Phone call or email. Tell us what is broken or what you are worried about. We answer.
  2. Scoping. If it fits a known fix, we quote it. If it needs an assessment, we say so.
  3. Written scope. Hourly when that fits. Fixed-fee when the scope is known. Retainer when standing oversight is the right answer.
  4. Work. Done locally where physical work is needed. Remote where it is not. Coordinated with your existing IT vendor where one exists.
  5. Honest counsel. We tell you when the right answer is to do nothing.

What we will not do

Lock you in. Keep your domain or your DNS in our name. Sign a managed services contract before we have done any work for you. Sell you software you do not need. Hand you a price list before we know what you actually need.
